Asian Skin Care Routine 101

These past years, skin care and other skin-related stuff have been on the look out for a very long time now. Skin care has been on demand since of course it’s all about taking the right circumstances for a beautiful glowing skin and so I thought why don’t I share my routine here to help other people out? I know there has been vast numbers of skin care routines on the net and some of them are pretty okay but having an owned and well-planned routine will help you in finding the right regimen. Note that this routine is on a 4-6 times a week basis. So let’s get started? :D

Step 1: Oil Cleanser/Moisturizer

Cleanse the whole face of all impurities, oil, and makeup using this product. I (and my mom) personally LOVE this product since it really gives off that natural soft and supple finished texture on the face but of course that will not be the final step of this routine. Be sure to clean every part of the face especially the under chin and neck part. After that, pat the remaining oil (cleanser) in the face using your hands to let the insides of the pores be cleansed by the oil.

Step 2: Moisturizing Foam

After the oil cleansing part, wet the face and put a generous amount of foam cleanser and make a foam on your hands. If you do not get the desired foaminess, add drops of water and when done apply on the face and forehead. Massage it on the cheekbone and jaw areas specifically to give definition to the shape of the face. After that rinse and pat it dry with a face towel or soft tissue.

Step 3: Toner

Asian toners are generally more for prepping the skin for later steps but this specific toner is rich in polyphenols, powerful antioxidants that help soothe the skin, strawberry extract helps diminish the appearance of pores so skin appears refined and refreshed. Reduce shine with oil-absorbing mineral powders to give an instant matte finish. Not only it helps in reducing pore openings it combats free radicals for a more vibrant glowing looking skin and closes the pores for a refined and refreshed appearance. This is best applied using the hands because it helps in applying more of the active ingredients of the toner than that with a cotton. Put at least an ample amount on your hands or cotton ball and wipe around the face.

Step 4: Essence

The Brightening Essence, described as a brightening and revitalizing product, uses Tahiti Black Pearl extract to enhance skin’s natural glow, while brightening dull areas of the skin. It supplies moisture to the skin with skin friendly properties, while absorbing quickly. I’ve found out that this product causes quite a few breakouts on the next few days of using it but then it was because the pores are releasing the dirt in the inside of it. It also helped in brightening my face a little since my complexion is somewhat white since asian feels LOL I guess my face did brighten up. I’ve read some honest reviews about it that people have been using it and had breakouts all over and other not and I believe that this product has to do with skin specific usage and it is the person’s compatibility with the product. The application for this is the same with the toner, apply an ample amount and rub on the face.

Step 5: Face Mask

I.P.I Intense Perfect Light helps control creation of Melanin and make your skin bright and radiant. Containing Vitamin C, Arbutin with excellent whitening effect, and Mulberry extract, this sheet mask helps to brighten and whiten dull skin. Long term use can make skin brighter, even skin tone & pigmentation caused by sunburn. Skin is brighter with luster shine, ideal for first-aid mask after sun. My skin felt super hydrated, plumper, and brighter. I think continuous use of this sheet mask could really whiten and brightening for the skin since the main ingredient is Arbutin. Recommended for dull skin.

N.M.F Aquaring Ampoule Mask Helps provide & pumps abundance of moisture to your skin, instantly moisturized. Solve dry skin problem with hyaluronic acid & ceramide that have excellent power of locking water inside the skin. It tightens loosen pores, regulates sebum, as well as provide abundance moisture. The one thing I really enjoy from this mask, is how it moisturizes the skin without too much of moisture. What I mean is that it’s just enough for my dry combination skin, not too heavy, and not over moisturizing. It doesn’t leave tacky finish on the skin, like some moisturizing sheet masks do. My skin stays moisturized the whole day. Recommended for those who stays indoor with AC turned on the whole day.

Step 6 (last step): Sleeping Pack and Toning

On image: Etude House Toning White C Double Effect Sleeping Pack & Tone Up Cream (I was trying this product using the gift that Etude House HKG gave me so I haven’t got my hands on the legit bottle but I’ve been using this for 2 weeks now)

After the previous step, apply Tone UP Cream. This product is said to contain the vitamin whitening cream that brightens skin by taking care of blemishes and improving skin tone. As someone who’s almost already white as a lamb’s fur this really did improve my face’s skin tone since I struggle from uneven skin tone (TT-TT) So I give this product a TOOT

This is the last part of every skin care routine. The sleeping packs. The Double Effect Sleeping Pack claims to both inject moisture and brighten your skin throughout the night. As this product is quite thick, a little goes a long way, and I find myself just dabbing my finger in it and getting enough product to cover my whole face with. As for how I feel about this product – I LOVE IT(*’∀’人)♥ I find myself waking up in the morning with such soft skin that I can’t stop touching it! As this wasn’t something I experienced with my previous skin care routine, I’m really happy about this one.

It really pays to be a fan of Asian skin care routines since we see those girls or boy on K-Drama’s that skins looking like paper and perfect face like they just went from a trip to the fountain of youth. Like in the Philippines they have a saying about if you really do want to be beautiful and maintaining it, you really have to be dedicated to it (TIIS GANDA XD) So there you have it! My skin care routine and I’ll be sure to add more of them ;) thank you for reading!
